I found this web site extremely interesting. It is well laid out, very informative and up to date. I entered this site to show colleagues at work what I did as an air cadet and thanks to this site, they feel it is a worthy organisation of young men and women who are disciplined and well organised. Thank you for having such a fantastic site. Could I also have some genuine feedback on Air cadet 2000 as my wing commander was the main organisor and he wants as many acounts of the camp as possible. I am very impressed with this site. Having been involved in working in multimedia now for a number years, I can see that this site has been well thought out, and very well designed, with all links working. As you will probably guess, I used to be in cadets, based in Halifax (250 Sqn) They too have a very good site, but I can't remember the address. It is a pleasure to be at this side of the fence, and look back and see young people, like I once was - involved in such educational activities, which many youngsters (who are not involved in it)find a point of amusement. Keep up the excellent work -I look forward to receiving a reply in due course (Ex Sgt) Steve Green - ex - 250 Halifax Squadron stephen.green

I found you on the web by searching for RAF Valley. I worked there as a typist from 1964 to 1966. I remember the first Red Arrows when there were only 2 (coloured bright yellow). I used to sit outside my caravan, on the RAF caravan site every morning and evening and watch them practice. They were a great bunch of nerveless wonders. I was the Supervisor in the then typing pool and I really enjoyed military aircraft. It was one of the best jobs I have ever had. Life was full of pure excitement. Hi. Both of us are 16. Cyprus is great for air cadets, we do loads of stuff - like seeing the red arrows once a year when they come out here, and a few cadets getting flights. Getting flights in a Wessex, gazelle, hercs, vc10's, nimrods and the odd hawk flight. We do loads of night exercises, and currently on VHF radio trying to get into contact with uk sqns, using Package, (callsign - ZC4ATC). We are hoping to also get on the net soon (if our stingy officers will buy a modem!!) We both went back to england last June for our BGT course. hopfully we can go back next june for our AGT. We have about 35 cadets normally on a parade night (Tuesdays and Thursdays - 1830-2100, uk time 1630-1900),. If you want to send us any letters etc through snail mail, our address is: No 1 (overseas) atc, c/o flt lt Tziros, RAF Akrotiri, BFPO 57. Hope to hear from someone soon as our sqn is the only one in Cyprus, there isn't even a ccf or acf (so we are a little lonely) Bye for now. Emma and Naomi.
