This Year, 155 (Maidenhead) Squadron attended summer camp at RAF Kinloss, situated in Northern Scotland. The base is the home of 120 and 206 Squadrons which operate with the Nimrod. The Nimrod is based upon the 1950's Comet, and has recently celebrated 25 years in service. During the week, some cadets and staff were fortunate enough to get flights in the Nimrod and used the advanced Nimrod simulators.
Cadets had the chance to visit the flight line and find out what the capabilities of the Nimrod Were. If they were lucky enough to fly in the Nimrod, this is the sort of view they would have got over the North Sea.
Other activities included leadership and night exercises in local woodland.
All cadets had at least one opportunity to fly the Bulldog during the week, some cadets even managed to get two flights. This was done at Inverness airport.
Below are some photos of cadets and places in the Kinloss area including Fort George Museum, Leadership exercises and aircraft.
